What are the key features of Hive Cascais that members appreciate the most?

Members love the community atmosphere, particularly the weekly community lunches and relaxed outdoor seating with the beautiful views of Sintra National Park and the Atlantic Ocean. The natural and comfortable style of the space are also highly valued.

What are the opening hours?

Hive Cascais is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with occasional evening or weekend availability for specific events.

How many days a week do members typically work from Hive Cascais?

Most members work 1-5 days per week, with many appreciating flexible usage options.

Memberships

What type of memberships are available?

Based on your feedback we have sought to design a more comprehensive range of membership options to cater for the diverse needs of our community.  Those options are:

1. Homegrown Membership

This is a special membership option that will be made available only to former Yayem Plus and Unlimited members at a discounted rate and with preferential conditions. 

2. Homecoming Membership

This is our new unlimited membership that will be made available to new joiners who have never been part of the former Yayem community.

3. Casual Membership

This will be a new part-time membership giving access to the house twice a week for those that require greater flexibility.

4. Roaming Membership

This will be our flexible membership giving access to the house for up to 20 days per year for those individuals looking for flexibility and temporary use of the house for a limited amount of time per year.

5. Duo Membership

This is a special membership providing a preferential rate for those wishing to join the community with their spouse or partner.

6. Enterprise Membership

This is a corporate membership designed for companies applying for 3 or more memberships for their employees.

 

Is the joining fee a one off payment?

Yes, the joining fee is a one-time payment made at the start of your membership. This fee helps cover the administrative setup and onboarding process, ensuring a smooth start to your membership. There will be no joining fee for former Yayem members (both Unlimited and Plus).

Pet Policy

Are pets allowed at Hive Cascais?

Pets make our lives better in so many ways. They create a happy and fun environment, encourage interactions among members, and get us up for regular exercise breaks. We will continue to allow pets in the house for certain membership categories but they will be subject to a new pet house policy that will be communicated soon.

Food & Beverage

Is there a food service at Hive Cascais?

We are piloting a weekly lunch service based on member feedback. Members can opt for a fixed monthly fee to enjoy high-quality, nutritious lunches.

Are teas and coffees included in the membership?

Yes, complimentary hot morning drinks are included in the memberships until 10 AM. A selection of teas and coffees are available to be purchased throughout the day at Hive Cascais for all members.

What types of snacks are available?

We are piloting a snacking menu based on member feedback. This will include a nutritious range of sandwiches, healthy smoothies and delicious cakes available all day long.

How can I book lunch?

Booking your lunch in advance ensures a meal will be ready when you need it while also helping to reduce food waste and support sustainability. Lunch is available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend booking early to secure your spot. You can book by filling out this form. Please confirm your lunch reservation by 5 PM the previous day. You may reserve up to 5 lunches in advance. Once your booking is complete, a payment link will be sent to you, and pre-payment is required to finalize your reservation.

What is on the menu?

B-Hive is proud to offer delicious meals prepared by our talented chefs—one specializing in plant-based cuisine and the other in Asian flavors. Booking your lunch in advance not only guarantees your meal but also helps our chefs prepare just the right amount, reducing food waste and supporting sustainability. Services

What wellbeing activities are included in the membership?

We are currently working with our members to define our 2025 programmes but examples of wellbeing activities may include yoga, meditation and breath work.

Are phone booths free? Do I need to book them?

Phone booths are available at no charge for all members. No prior booking is required and they can be used on a first come first served basis.

Are meeting rooms free? Do I need to book them?

Meeting rooms require booking and use will be subject to the amount of credits included in your membership. Those changes will be announced soon. In the meantime feel free to book your meeting rooms here.

Do you provide a personal post or parcel collection service?

In exceptional cases, members may send personal post and packages to the House. This facility is only available to members if they have made arrangements in advance with the House hosting team in writing, and they have agreed to accept post and packages on their behalf. Verbal instructions will not be accepted for the re-direction of mail. The Company will not take responsibility for post received or delivered.

Are there printing facilities?

We’re excited to announce that printing facilities will soon be available. This service is set to launch in Q1 2025, and we’ll keep all members updated as soon as it’s ready to use.
