Frequently asked questions
Coliving
What is coliving?
Who are our residents? Who can apply?
Our Hivers are an eclectic bunch of awesome individuals from all walks of life and corners of the globe. They are open-minded professionals, entrepreneurs and digital nomads who share a lust for living well.
We offer a soft landing for a growing generation of mobile professionals – more than 85% of our residents are new to the location of their Hive of choice. Our ready-made community provides them with a renewed sense of belonging and an abundant source of meaningful relationships, along with ways to optimise life in their new location.
The average age of our Hivers is 28, but everyone is welcome. We embrace diversity as a catalyst for personal and professional growth. No person is discriminated against due to race, colour, age, religion or belief, ethnic or national origin, sexual orientation or gender.
What is a Hive?
A Hive is a building designed to offer everything you need to live well. Our beautifully designed coliving homes offer ensuite rooms together with a variety of communal spaces for you to live, work, relax and play. Your experience will be complemented with a rich mix of wellness-led events, content and guidance from our wellness team.
What kind of events and experiences are organised at B-Hive Living?
We offer a year-round rich program of events and content designed for or by our residents to empower you to lead a healthier, more connected and fulfilling lifestyle. Our agenda covers a range from barbecues and international food nights to yoga, HIIT sessions and integration trips, to simply a pleasant dinner together. Our wellness team is at your disposal to help optimise your health, fitness, productivity or simply introduce new healthy habits to your daily routine.
Rent
How long can I stay in a Hive home?
While there is no maximum term, our leases are one year rolling contracts. We offer flexible options for 1/3/6 months contracts. The minimum length of a stay is 30 days.
How do I pay my rent?
We want to make your experience with us as hassle-free as possible. Rents are paid automatically each month via direct debit on the 1st day of the month. This will all be set up when you sign the lease. If you move in halfway through the month, you’ll only pay for those days rather than the whole month. If you’ve booked with us through an online platform, the payment of your rent may be processed through them. For any related queries, please reach out to our friendly team at info@b-hiveliving.com.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
B-Hive Living has partnered with Reposit to bring you a no deposit option. Through Reposit, we are able to bring you an alternative to the traditional deposit. This means you save time, money, and pay less when you move to your Hive. Reposit is not a deposit – by purchasing a Reposit, you are paying a service charge equal to one-week worth of rent. It allows you not to pay a deposit, and us to be added to the Reposit Insurance Policy.
How does Reposit works?
In case there is any damages to the property or rent to be paid you are required to settle them before the end of the tenancy. If there is any dispute on a claim, we will open a claim with Reposit at the end of the tenancy and Reposit will act as an impartial mediation platform. Amenities
What does a standard Hive bedroom look like? Do I have to share a bathroom?
Every bedroom offers everything you need to live well. All our rooms have been beautifully designed with your wellbeing and convenience in mind. You’ll have your own ensuite bathroom with a sink, shower, toilet and towel rail. Your bedroom comes equipped with a queen-sized bed (120×190), bedside table with lamp, custom-built wardrobe and private storage. Most rooms also feature a desk.
Can I use as much energy and water as I like?
No. As an environmentally responsible community, we seek to collectively ensure that energy and water usage is not excessive and kept within reasonable and sensible limits. We therefore work with a Fair Usage Policy (FUP) which sets a reasonable cap for usage based on the number of users of each property or unit.
Is parking available?
Yes, our Hives come with onsite parking for convenience. Parking is provided on a first come first served basis and there is no additional charge for outdoor parking facilities. For exclusive use of parking facilities, a reasonable fee is added to your rent.
Why are there no addresses of Hives on our website?
For safeguarding the privacy and security of our Hivers and neighbours, we prefer not to reveal the exact addresses of our Hives. Don’t worry, we will disclose the exact locations during your application process.
Are there laundry facilities? Are they free?
Yes, every Hive is equipped with washing machines and dryers. The number of laundry appliances in each Hive depends on the number of residents.
Does B-Hive provide bed linen and towels?
We normally do not provide bed linen or towels for our long-term residents. In case you need any help to buy them before you move in the Hive please let us know and our community manager would be happy to assist you; the cost can be added to your first bill. For short stays (i.e. 1 month) you can find a kit in your room at check in but you are responsible to take care of it during your stay using our laundry facilities.

Are couples allowed?
Yes, we have large rooms specifically designed for couples with your own private bathroom, fridge freezer and additional storage.
